Abstract
Open Access Digital Resources (OADRs) have emerged as a transformative force in higher education by providing unrestricted access to scholarly information, research publications, e-books, e-journals, institutional repositories, and educational databases. These resources play a significant role in enhancing teaching, learning, and research activities in universities and colleges. The present study examines the utility, accessibility, benefits, and challenges of open access digital resources in higher education institutions. The study highlights how digital resources contribute to academic excellence, research productivity, and knowledge dissemination. It also identifies major barriers such as lack of awareness, inadequate ICT infrastructure, and digital literacy issues. The paper concludes that effective utilization of open access resources can significantly improve the quality of higher education and promote equitable access to information.
