Impact of Digital Banking Services on Customer Satisfaction in India
Main Article Content
Abstract
The rapid digital transformation in the Indian banking sector has completely reshaped how consumers interact with financial institutions. This study investigates the impact of digital banking services on customer satisfaction, focusing on the quality, security, and usability of these platforms. The primary objective is to examine how different digital service dimensions influence overall user satisfaction and to identify the main hurdles customers face during adoption. Utilizing a quantitative research methodology, primary data was collected from a random sample of 150 banking customers. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis to determine the relationships between system reliability, user interface, security, and customer satisfaction. The findings reveal that security and system reliability are the strongest predictors of customer satisfaction, heavily outweighing aesthetic interface features. Additionally, server downtimes and fear of cyber fraud remain significant barriers for a segment of the population. The study suggests that while Indian banks have made massive leaps in digital infrastructure, sustained customer satisfaction relies heavily on robust backend stability and proactive fraud prevention mechanisms.
