Abstract

Talent management has become a critical strategic human resource practice, particularly in healthcare organizations where employee competence, motivation, and satisfaction directly influence service quality. The present study examines the influence of talent management strategies on employee satisfaction among private hospital employees in Madurai district. The study adopts a descriptive cross-sectional research design and follows a quantitative research approach. Primary data were collected from private hospital employees using a structured questionnaire, and the measurement scales were adapted from established studies by Oehley (2013), Annakis et al. (2014), and Huang et al. (2019). The study examines five dimensions of talent management, namely talent identification, talent development, talent culture, talent retention, and talent attraction, and their influence on employee satisfaction. Data collected from respondents were analyzed using percentage analysis and multiple regression analysis. The regression results indicate that talent management practices significantly influence employee satisfaction. Among the dimensions, talent development emerged as the strongest predictor of employee satisfaction, followed by talent retention, talent identification, talent attraction, and talent culture. The findings highlight the importance of implementing effective talent management strategies in private hospitals to enhance employee satisfaction, improve workforce stability, and support organizational effectiveness.
